Best Word Games for Android Apps!

This post is for all those people out there who love word games. If you're looking for something to challenge your mind while having fun check out the Best Word Apps for Android. I have had quite a few of them for a while now and I can always waste my days with them.

1. Ruzzle
A fast paced game to play with your friends. Challenge them or anyone else to see who can create the most words in 2 minutes. Warning: it gets extremely competitive! You can create words with letters that are touching each other or diagonal. The more you play the easier it gets to find words and you get the hang of creating longer words too (adding suffixes). This was one of the first apps I got on my Android phone. It was once extremely popular and the hype has calmed down for it but it is still a fun game to play in your free time.

2. 100 Pics
There are four squares inside a larger square. Underneath the squares is a picture. The object of the game is to guess the picture in the big square with as little help as possible. I.e. the less squares you take away the more points you get. You have help at the bottom with a select number of letters to choose from. Don't worry if you get stuck you can use some of the coins from winning to help you guess. There are many different categories you can choose from - each with 100 pictures to guess. Some of the categories are sports logos, body parts, cartoons, video games, movies, the list is endless. There is definitely a category for everyone.

3. Word Wall
A fun puzzle word game. Not a well known game but it's still fun. It gives you a bunch of words and your job is to match 2 of them together. You can match them together either by what they have in common or by creating a phrase with them. Ex. arm - span bar-keep burst-explode. The first few levels took me a while until I got used to it but then it became a lot of fun. If you're someone who likes puzzle games this one's for you!

4. Phrase Wheel
Very similar to Wheel of Fortune. You can connect to Facebook and challenge your friends or you can play against a random opponent. First you spin the wheel, then you can select a letter. Continue selecting letters until you guess one that is not in the puzzle. Once you do it will be your opponents turn. Then they will be able to work off what you have already done and guess letters until they miss. You each take your turns until one of you solves it and they are the winner! There are different categories you can get your word from. Some of them are Music, Household Items, Advertising Slogans, and TV shows.

5. Synonymous
When I first opened this game I closed it 10 seconds later. I couldn't answer any of the riddles! I opened it a couple days later and fell love with it (after reading the instructions). It's definitely a different game, and takes a while to get in the right mind set.

A good game for those who know music, movies, artists etc. You're given a clue for each item in which each of the words is a synonym to the word in the title. For example: The Terrific Quadruple = The Fantastic Four or Hasty '60 minutes" = Rush Hour. It shows you how many letters are in the actual word and allows you to buy letters you think are in the title. Every time you get an item right you earn points (to buy more letters in the future). There are multiple levels under each category so you'll be able to play on for a long time.

6. 4 Letters
A fast paced word game. Could even be considered a kids game to teach them simple words. The game is simple make as many 4 letter words with the given 4 letters. For those of you who know every word on the planet it might take you a while to lose. As you keep getting words correct time gets added on. If you waste too much time on a word, it's game over.
