Best Strategy Android App Games

The most addicting games for me are the ones that require me to think about my next move. I always get addicted to them, especially when I get soooo close. Below are my thoughts about the best strategy game apps for your Android device that will hopefully have you entertained for a while.

Here are just a few of my favorite Android strategy game apps. There are obviously many more since I can get addicted to puzzle/strategy games in an instant. If you ever want to find more just go into the GooglePlay store and look in categories for strategy and then you can filter for all the free ones. That's how I find a majority of mine, that and of course Pinterest.

1. 94 Seconds
As my friend JT says "only got 4 seconds to save the world" (+90 seconds) Playing this game may not "save the world" but it might save you and your friends from boredom at waiting for a midnight premiere.

You have 94 seconds to give an answer to the letter and category they give you. So, if they give you: Fruit A you could say apple. If you give an answer you get 1 point if you give an uncommon answer you get 2 points. You can play against other people, just play until you feel bored, or try and beat your high score in 94 seconds, in the original game.

2. FloodIt
A very simple, easy to learn strategy game for your Android device. When you first start you see six colors spread across a square and those same six colors at the bottom of the screen.

To play you simply click on the 6 colored boxes lined up at the bottom. You'll start in the left-hand corner and click the boxes at the bottom, the first box will change color (the color you clicked) and pick up the other colors it is touching that match the color you clicked. The whole point of the game is to make the whole square the same color.

3. Plumber
Unfortunately, when you play this game you don't get paid as much as a plumber, if only. It Becomes quite an addicting game after the first time you try it. It's a lot like a maze game except with time and other factors playing in.

The game has 2 modes Arcade and Challenge. My favorite is the arcade mode. The only thing you see are a bunch of pipes and some symbols when you start out.

As you play for a few seconds you'll notice on your right you'll see water beginning to rise. Once it reaches the top its game over. In order to make it go down you must complete pipes to make water flow from the right to the left side. However, completing these routes alone won't make the water go down you must use pipes that have the downward facing arrow on them. This is the "flush" symbol." The further in the game you get the faster the water rises, which means the faster you have to think.

4. Lines
I am stuck on level 37. I cannot figure our how to get past it, it's so frustrating!! In this strategy game there are two modes puzzle and free, but I think puzzle mode is the only one worth playing.

When you start the game you'll have a bunch of circles with different colored lines running through them. On the right side it will give you "goals" that you'll need to complete to beat the level. To complete the goals you'll have to complete lines from one end of the shape to the other. Some of them will only have to be 3 circles long while other sill have to be 5. The goals are something like: use 5 green lines to complete 1 or have 3 that connect up and down. Sometimes you'll feel like it's impossible and this game is stupid, but then you'll realize just who much you love it. Relationship status: complicated

5. Bonza
A weird crossword puzzle that you already know all the letters but still not the answers. A fun, addicting, word game shown to me thanks to Collin Cahill! This game is like a crossword with all the letters given to you, you just need to figure out how they connect with one another.

The first pack has a clue of 3 Little Pigs, and the answers are all related in one way or another to that topic. As you get further the clue may only be a letter and you'll have to figure out the words or try to figure out the clue. When they don't give you a clue I think it's just because the creators like seeing people suffer.

6. Sudoku
A classic strategy game made from pen and paper to an Android app. Although I still prefer it with pen and paper (easier to erase). There is 1 large square with 3x3 medium squares which in them have 3x3 squares. The object of the puzzle is to fill in all the boxes with numbers. Each medium box can only have the numbers 1-9 once. The horizontal rows (across the whole square) can only have the numbers 1-9 as well as the vertical rows.

In some of the beginner levels it is easy to fill in certain numbers and as you progress through the puzzle it usually gets easier to fill in the rest. As you get into more difficult levels, filling in the first few numbers gets more difficult.

If you haven't seen my other blog posts check them out! Some of the best strategy game apps (especially from my Best Android Apps post) weren't mentioned on here that could definitely be categorized in it. Next blog posts will have videos of some of the apps that I've rated so far. If you have any other addicting Android strategy games please share them, I always enjoy a new addiction!
